Decorating From Scratch
Not all of us have the money to create the perfect wedding of our dreams. It’s the time in the relationship when you truly learn the meaning of compromise and sacrifice. But don’t think that you have to sacrifice too much. There are ways of spending less money – which will make your life a whole lot easier.
Instead of spending lots of money on wedding favors find a way that you can create them yourself. Think of a favor that will match your theme and that will be easy to make and than find a place where you can buy the things you need in bulk for an affordable price. It is always best to choose something that doesn’t take forever to make.
Example: For my sisters’ wedding she wanted to give everyone chocolates decorated in a cute little pouch. So she bought lots of Hershey kisses, tool, ribbon, and spoons. She placed 2 kisses on the spoon wrapped it in tool (the color of the tool matched her colors) and than closed it with a piece of ribbon. Trying to buy something as unique as that would have cost twice as much.
Another thing that you can do on your own are the decorations. There are many different places that can give you the decorations that you want at a low price. Plus you won’t have to worry and wonder if the decorators are actually doing it right.
Some of the best decorations to use are tool, fabric, flowers and greenery, ribbons, and candles.
If you are worried about who can help you with these projects – don’t be. You’ll find that your family will make great helpers, as do your bridesmaids. Make a small party out of it where you can watch a movie, snack on some food, and make them all at the same time. Make it fun while you get some work done!
Remember to decorate as much in advance as you can. You don’t want to be stressing out the night before hurrying to get things done and wondering if you’ll have baggy eyes in the morning because you stayed up so late.
